Thumbs Up to Opening of Downtown Water Fountain

It's "interactive" because you press a button to make water shoot into the air. Dozens of tiny geysers turn on and off, putting on a show for onlookers and proving irresistible to kids. It's like a splash pad but without that toy-like, playground feel. The fountain gives artistic flair to downtown Janesville's new town square, especially the glistening silver arches at the fountain's center. The fountain opened last week with fencing surrounding part of it as construction continues on the town square's north end and nearby South River Street. Another fun feature added to the square last week is a structure holding two kaleidoscopes aimed at a collection of potted flowers. Peer into the kaleidoscopes to get a different perspective on nature
